Today was the first real adventure on the drz. So I went to see the great pyramid of memphis. Among other places... Including getting my perfectly minty clean bike caked in southern mud.

Its only so much fun riding a drz by yourself. So in order to double the fun, simply add another drz!

That field in view was mud city. dont let it fool you because its green.

I haven't been down there in years but last I heard it's so rutted out by trucks on 44s that it's not much fun to ride there anymore.

I heard stories about it growing up that if you were stuck enough to have to leave your truck overnight, you would come out to find it picked clean. There is stilla path in the bottoms that will take you right behind every dealer on the pike and to the train tracks near the MLGW substation. I spent most of my formative years their washing, delivering and picking up cars for my dad's wholesale business.

Ah the Pyramid! I miss Memphis - My college town - I need to Return to 'Memphis in May' for the music festival and awesome BBQ - Elvis reigns supreme along with FedEx. Surprising they haven't torn down the Pyramid, its been talked about for almost 20 years.

not yet. But i plan on making a ride up there. Ive gotta get mud proof clothing first.

and my coworkers say the same thing about leaving your truck there. Assume it will be stolen if you leave it. So dont get stuck.

you know they are opening a super-mega-awesome-incredible-cabelas-shaming bass pro shop. May first it opens. Might take a ride down to check it out. Apparently the city made the deal of the century to entice them to buy it.
